    Hi Dan,

Interesting that you posted your goals on your blog. I do the same exercise myself. I’m about to do my 2009 review and 2010 goals, but haven’t gotten around to it.

Granted I am a extremely public person. But this I don’t think I’d like to post (although I definitely understand the psychological benefits of accountability with publicly proclaiming your goals on the internet forever.)

Good luck on your goals. Here’s a tip on the 60 pounds. Buy a white board for your home, and draw a monthly calendar. Use The “lose it” application on the iphone and track your daily calorie intake and weigh yourself everyday. At the end of each night note your weight and your calorie intake.

I lost 15 pounds in 2 months doing this since I left P&G. (I also worked out 5 days a week, 60-90 minutes each session)

I’m not in marketing so I don’t have an iPhone, but I’ve heard about the LoseIt app from others as well. I accomplish the same thing less conveniently and less consistently using Fitday.com.

Congrats on dropping 15lbs in 2 months. Solid progress. I stuck my goal (which I know is very aggressive) into Fitday and all these warnings started popping up that I shouldn’t aim to lose more than 2 pounds per week. This comes out to 2.3 pounds per week so we’ll have to see how it goes. I had a 2 pound per week glidepath in mind when I set the goal but I did a little holiday gorging at the in-laws in Connecticut but didn’t want to come off of the initial goal I had set.
